Saleen made its name with really fast versions of the Mustang. More recently they’ve become respected as supercar makers with the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo. In New York, they unveiled their latest concept - the S5S Raptor. This car won’t replace the S7, but rather sit just under it in the Saleen lineup.

Six hundred and fifty horsepower in a car that’s *not* the company flagship? Amazing. The wheel arches on the S5S Raptor are a little exaggerated. The rear end is also a bit busy and could use some toning down. Besides that, this is one sweet looking exotic.

Saleen hasn’t officially announced their intention to build the S5S Raptor. They are showing off the concept to see what the public thinks. I’d bet on this car seeing production, and soon.
